From Victor, towards Canon City, on CO-67
Someone from Victor, CO recalls a car similar to Jeremy’s with a bike rack at the corner of Victor Ave. and 3rd St about a week ago. She said she really remembers the bike rack. He was headed toward Phantom Canyon on Country Rd 67. This road has very steep drop offs. Based on that information we are also focusing our search efforts today on: Country Rd 67 from Victor to Canon City.
Please note: this is in addition to the focus below on Rampart Range Road.

It’s great to see the family getting some helpful feedback and ideas through this site. I read the thread below as well. It seems like Brad and Brenda had some constructive ideas too. Has a helicopter been utilized yet? Seems like it would be a great asset. If so, hopefully the Griess’ are able to gain access to one, or perhaps this site could be used to help them make contact with someone who can help in this area.
Ted, Wanda, Cass, Tony, Chan, etc. keep your chin up, and try your best to not let discouragement get the best of you. Readers, let’s do our best to find ways to focus on the positives to help fuel the search. I can only imagine how very draining the past ten days have been.

I am a friend of the Griess family and this may be something to look into… I had a look on the map of the woodland park area and saw that on the road CR28, there is a CORALL LANE leading off of it. If anyone in that area could just go and look around the CR28 Corall lane area it would be worth a try, we have everything to gain just by looking.

I live out here, and can check this out for you, but I cannot find that road. CR28 is also known as Edlowe Rd and runs south of Hwy 24. Corrnell Dr is to the north, but nothing named CORALL LANE off CR28 that I can see using Google Maps.

Sorry, I got the spelling wrong, it’s corral lane. Here is the link to the map of corral lane in woodland park….

For peace of mind, I had my son check the Corral Lane in WP, and no sign of his car. Found it interesting that the road to the Happy Meadows campground mentioned in another post noted a similar name, and it is near the Badger Tower, and is a popular real ‘get away’. However, it appears that area is being searched and nothing has turned up yet.

Jeremy’s car is a ’99 Honda Accord, not AWD. Thank you for keeping an eye out.

If you click on the Google maps link and switch it to a bike route, it takes you east of Victor and then south on Phantom Canyon Rd. Knowing Jeremy was into biking if he was looking for for new routes this might be the better direction to look than towards Cripple Creek. Also, has his computer history been checked or has anyone gotten a dump of his smartphone internet access. Maybe he was looking for maps of new bike/hike routes that might give some indication of where he was heading last week.

A friend, Jeff Sale, drove Old Stage / Gold Camp Rd to Victor today. He carried on to Phantom Canyon and saw no signs of Jeremy’s car. We will begin searching again tomorrow. Any updates on more refined focus areas for tomorrow is appreciated.
