Ted and Family – Praying that Jeremy is found and that you remain strong during this period. I have called several acquitances from CO to see what they know about the area and who might be some good contacts. Check with some horseback riding clubs and maybe even a mountain climbing group. There should be several search and rescue groups in the area as well as a few outfitters who take hunters in. We will find him – keep the faith!

We went up to the crags past the Menenite camp to the next parking lot area. We searched over the cliffs going up there as well. We did not find anything but will continue looking.

Has anyone hit the roads up by Golden Bell in Divide? A lot of those roads look okay for cars, but are not. Also has anyone talked to the boy scouts in the area? They hike those trails frequently. Also, anyone check off of Teller 1 going through Florrisant towards Cripple Creek? There are some alternate routes in that area that are easy to miss as well. Wish I could be more help.

We were told to start with CR51
CR511
Forest Rd 357
*posted fliers, handed out fliers, spoke with campers, bikers, and ATVers. Also checked a couple private roads back here, no numbers
Painted Rocks Rd
67 to Cripple Creek
*stopped at every possible place for a car to go over
67 to Deckers
Abbey Rd
Westcreek Rd to Pike Peak Resort
CR 126 for 6 mi
*stopped at every possible place for a car to go over
So. Platte 67 through Sedalia
Rampart Range, only 2 miles. Black out
~didn’t have a great car to hit a lot of back roads

John Butler and a group of biker riders hit the following:
CR 22
Rampart Range Road – To the gate closure
Forest Road 312
Carrol Lakes Road
Forest Lakes Road
Forest Road 314
Forest Road 315
Forest Road 320
Forest Road 322
Forest Road 323
I hit all the campgrounds off of Hwy 67(but none more than one mile off the highway – there are some deeper in, which were hit has been my understanding) early in the morning between Woodland Park and Decker. Went 10 miles up CR 78(Painted Rocks Road) and all logging/access roads off that section.
Then Also:
FR 345
FR 346
FR 391
FR 342
FR 339
(and various logging roads off these until the stopped)
CR 79
CR 73
CR 66
Going through my notes, I did not have the road #s for these but covered them and wrote the following down:
Casey Slumber Road
Rainbow Falls Road
Trout Creek Road
Quaker Ridge Conference Center Road
Please note if anyone is going to hit the Forest Roads, you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle, ATV or motorcycle. Be careful…..Some of these roads end suddenly and are difficult to turn around on, especially the logging paths off the Forest Roads.

Bruce,
Thanks for re-posting my search areas here. Hopefully the new lead will result in good news, but I am prepared to continue helping this weekend if need be.

I’ve checked the trailhead at the end of Edlowe Rd (CR28), just below Catamount Res.
I’ve driven through the following steets in the Tranquil Acres Residential area:
Orchid, Narsissus, Marigold, Juniper, Blossom, Iris, and Gentian. In addition to the marked trailhead at the north end of the subdivision there is at least one other un-official trailhead, but there were no signs of his car there either. There may be more un-official trail heads in the area, but I did not have the time to canvas the entire neighborhood.
We drove south on Hwy 67 towards Cripple Creek and stopped at a number of curves with steep dropoffs and we looked for cars that might have driven off.
We drove up the dirt road towards The Craigs Campground. We made it to the Mennonite camp before we had to turn around because of ice on the road. Jeremy could have pushed his car farther up the road if he was determined, so that area should be checked better.

Anyone check Mueller State Park to the east of the highway past the Mennonite (?) Camp? Its in a valley with steep rock walls on both sides and dense trees and brush. I love to go there to take a breather, its worth checking out. Blessings…

I am going tomorrow to search, along with another friend of Jeremy’s. We are meeting at 8:00 AM in Castle Rock (Meet at the Shell Gas off of the Wolfensberger exit) if anyone wants to join. Where are the key spots that haven’t been searched yet?
Thanks,
Matt

Sunday 4/18
We search SH 543, from SH126 (Deckers Road) to the gate (not far)
SH 550 to the rifle range, and down into the rifle range parking lot
SH 543 (S. Buffalo Creek Road) to Wellington Lake. (The Wellington Lake caretaker hadn’t seen Jeremy or his car)
SH 560 (Stoney Pass Road) to SH211 (Wigwam Creek Road), including the spur road to the Flying G Ranch (saw a purple and silver tent in the creek (?) and a fresh campfire) and the spur to the Wigwam Creek trailhead.
SH211 to Cheesman Lake construction gate, and back to CO126
Lone Rock Campground
CO RD 66 (N. Rainbow Falls Road) to the gate
Trout Creek Ranch Road/Hedi Road/Lisa Lane
S. Rainbow Falls Road to the private property gate
Hidden Valley Road to the closed gate. (We didn’t check the several spurs off this road)
A couple of private roads on the east side of 67 across from and north of the South Meadows Campground.

Just to post this here too, I found out about this from ADVRider.com.
I met up with Jeremy’s Cousin from Monument Sunday afternoon and picked up a few routes to check. I ended up putting on over 100 miles with no luck. 😦
Route map I covered yesterday…
